CypherCrescent Limited is deepening industry, academia collaboration through a 5-day intensive training programme on SEPAL SOLVER and SEPAL WRM software at the University of Calabar (UNICAL). Delivered in response to the university’s request for hands-on, industry aligned capacity building, the programme equips staff and students with practical skills in engineering modelling, analysis, and data driven decision-making. With strong institutional support from UNICAL’s leadership and active participant engagement, the initiative marks a significant step toward sustainable collaboration, continuous knowledge exchange, and applied research aimed at long term institutional and national development.

Ongoing Industry, Academia Collaboration and Capacity Development for the University of Calabar’s Team.
As part of our ongoing commitment to industry–academia collaboration and capacity development, CypherCrescent Limited is currently delivering a 5-day intensive training programme on SEPAL SOLVER and SEPAL WRM software at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), running from Monday, January 26 to Friday, January 30, 2026.
This training was initiated in response to the University’s request for practical, industry-aligned software capacity building for staff and students in engineering and related disciplines. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, with a strong focus on modelling, analysis, and data-driven decision-making using modern engineering tools.
We are grateful for the strong institutional support from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Offiong Effanga Offiong, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research, Linkages, and Collaboration), Prof. Egrinya Eneji, and the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering, whose collaboration has been instrumental in enabling this engagement. The warm reception and active involvement of the university community continue to enrich the learning experience.
The level of engagement and enthusiasm from participants has been very encouraging, reflecting a shared commitment to skills development, innovation, and professional excellence. Beyond the training itself, this programme represents an important step toward building a sustainable collaborative relationship between CypherCrescent and the University of Calabar, with opportunities for continued knowledge exchange and applied research.
